Uniform Business Office (UBO)

  • Mission:

  • In accordance with PUBLIC LAW 01-510, TITLE 10, CODE 1095, Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor is required to bill commercial insurance companies for medical services provided in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

The Uniform Business Office (UBO) prepares claims for our beneficiaries who have Commercial Healthcare Insurance, Workman’s Compensation Claims (Labor & Industry, on-the-job injuries--non active duty related), and Medical Affirmative Claims (third party liability cases, motor vehicle accidents, animal bites, etc.)

Please have your medical insurance card available when you check-in for your appointment. The receptionist will need to verify the information on your card. Appropriate charges will be applied to your plan deductible. This will be helpful if you subsequently receive medical care in the private sector. You will not be billed directly or incur any out-of-pocket expenses for care provided by Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor.

Money collected from commercial insurance is used for the improvement of patient care (i.e., purchase of medical equipment and supplies). Thank you for your participation
