Scope Of Care:

The Orthopedic Clinic provides both non-surgical and operative care to all eligible beneficiaries for a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. Patients are seen in the Orthopedic Clinic by referral and appointment only. Surgeries are performed at PeaceHealth United General Medical Center in Sedro-Woolley and WhidbeyHealth Medical Center in Coupeville.

Specific areas within orthopedics for which care can be given include:

  • Sports-related injuries
  • Musculoskeletal trauma and overuse injury
  • Fracture management
  • Tendon injuries
  • Carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome
  • Limited pediatric orthopedic conditions
  • Non-operative joint conditions

Common surgeries that we offer include:

  • Knee arthroscopy
  • ACL reconstruction
  • Meniscus debridement/repair
  • Shoulder arthroscopy
  • Rotator cuff repair
  • Ligament reconstruction
  • Ankle arthroscopy
  • Ankle fracture management
  • Tendon repair
  • Carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel release
  • Ganglion excision
  • Trigger finger surgery
  • Internal fixation of fractures
  • Removal of hardware

Orthopedic services NOT rendered at Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor are:

  • Major trauma surgery
  • Limb or digit replantation
  • Complex hand surgery
  • Complex orthopedic oncology
  • Spine surgery
  • Total joint arthroplasty (joint replacements)
  • Flatfoot or cavus (high arch) foot reconstruction
  • Toe deformity or Bunion corrective surgery
